SAFETY

Wood for Stoves:
Wood for stoves is in shed behind house, it's hardwood - oak etc. Wood out by fence is pine for bonfires.  Pine burns dirty and causes chimney fires. Only burn hardwood from shed in stoves. Kindling is everywhere.

Fire:
The farm prime directive is: Don't Burn The Place Down
Inform your guests, there is a fire extinguisher in the closet off the main room and another in the alcove at the beginning of the addition on the 2nd floor.
There is also an emergency ladder to be thrown out a window in the alcove on the 2nd floor.
If you're in the front, climb out a window and jump off the porch roof, sprained ankle better than dead.

Food:
Do not throw out leftovers in the woods or any surrounding farm areas. It attracts bears and other animal.
